Further, there is a growing emphasis on refinements of the already available core technologies in use today. Thus, it is advisable to be cautious of vendors that try to pitch sell complex products or solutions. In fact, look for smart and user-friendly technologies that can deliver the desired results.

Today’s workforce is dominated by millennials and as we know that these people prefer to live on the edge and want things to work faster and seamlessly, implementation of technology becomes vital. So it all boil downs to receiving insightful data, usage and engagement.

  1. Analytics would be like cherry on the cake

Yes, software analytics that provide relevant data accessible across multiple departments of an organisation would help everyone to be on the same page. Thus, analytics in a way would turn out to be a great HR and leadership tool.

Social media without doubt has lived up to its hype. In fact, it is an outstanding tool for employee engagement, branding and talent management. A few years down the line, social media along with big data would collectively form to be an excellent tool for HRs if utilized appropriately.

The Gen-Y people aka the millennials perceive desktop as an artefact from the good old days. As the world is going mobile, HRs would need to follow the suit. For reaching out to the right talents, there would be a growing need to devise mobile-friendly tools and solutions that are easy to use and are millennial-friendly essentially. HRs ought to be there where talent is and nowadays it’s mobile.

Solutions that facilitate consistent performance monitoring are a boon for HRs as well as employees and the company as a whole. The formal or annual performance review is fast becoming a passé. Automated performance management software would be taking the centre-stage rendering real-time employee data to HRs and managers. This would help identify weaker areas of an employee at an early stage. In addition, real-time performance monitoring offers leaders and HR with more insights and power to identify people who are not a good fit for the company.
