In recent years, diversity and inclusion have gained significance in India’s automotive and manufacturing sector, with an increasing number of companies wanting to create an equitable workplace. As part of its commitment towards gender diversity, MG Motor India presently runs the ‘Drive Her Back’ initiative, an employment program that aims to empower experienced and qualified women to re-enter the workforce. MG Motor India launched the ‘Drive Her Back’ campaign in 2019 to provide women with inclusive and equal professional opportunities across various verticals within the brand. This initiative aims to harness the skills and expertise of talented women professionals. They are brought on board through one-year contracts, with absorption based on their performance.

In an interaction with TOI Auto, Yeshwinder Patial, Senior Director of Human Resources, MG Motor India said, “’Drive Her Back’ has empowered over 60 women across various domains, attracting over 2,000 applications.
