I worked in one company for 17 years and then I held my next job for eight years. I did well in both firms and left my last job at a VP level with a $218,000 compensation package.
Now that I’m job-hunting again, I’m having a frustrating time.
I have huge experience by now so I don’t think that a lack of competence or subject-matter expertise is in my way. I get a lot of first interviews but so far I haven’t been invited back for a second interview. What am I doing wrong?
