Do you have a “Growth mindset” or ‘Fixed mindset’?
Each one of us as individuals is responsible for the direction of our own Life. Every decision we make has a consequence, whether it’s positive or negative. If you imagine less and aim less, less will be what you undoubtedly deserve. As we grow we develop mindsets.
What are mindsets? Mindsets are beliefs that individuals hold about their qualities and abilities. Mindsets influence Behaviours and along with Habits and Execution, they yield results.
I have dedicated over 20 years of my life in researching and exploring the attitudes of success and failures. Based on my research I have coining the ‘Growth mindset’ and ‘Fixed mindset’ concept in this article (Split in two parts for reader convenience).
So what do I mean by Growth mindset and Fixed mindset?
A ‘Growth mindset’ translates into the belief that our minds, including our skills and the abilities we possess, can be developed and improved throughout our day to day lives. A “growth mindset,” thrives on challenge and sees failure not as evidence of unintelligence but as a heartening springboard for growth and for stretching individual existing abilities.
