Every employee joins an organisation with the hope that they will grow up the ladder in the organisation. Offcourse the Organisation is structured as a Pyramid, which means that there is fewer people at the Top and the growth opportunities slim down as you move up the ladder.
Despite the limitations of how Organisations are structured, employees have the aspiration of moving up the ladder either with their present employer or by switching to a new Organisation.
