To a lot of people, the idea of making more money seems as no short of a rocket science. After all, in a world with so many companies, startups and freelancers, not every job opportunity is occupied. Well, you would be surprised to hear that some of the greatest and most lucrative business ideas don’t actually take a stroke of genius or a moment of divine inspirations. In fact, some of these ways in which people make money will give you goosebumps and make you realize how easy it would be for you to do so as well. Here are some of them.
1. Sell things on eBay
One of the first things that come to mind is probably selling your old stuff on eBay. You know how they say that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Well, in 2017 items such as vintage video games, old unused electronics, CDs and DVDs are considered to be a treasure of their own kind. One of the things you could instantly notice is the fact that you probably aren’t currently using any of the items listed above, which means that to you they have no practical value. A collector, however, might be willing to pay a small fortune for them.
2. Trading empty ink cartridges
According to a recent statistic, an average office worker prints about 10,000 pages each year. Not only does this cause for a massive consumption of paper, but it also creates a huge amount of empty ink cartridges. Those who run an office, or even just work at one, could suggest trading in empty ink cartridges for cash. Sure, this won’t save you a huge amount of money, but seeing how you would throw these cartridges anyway, it would sometimes feel like making money out of thin air.
3. Doing online surveys
Probably the greatest problem with online surveys is the fact that a lot of people simply have no time for them. In a situation where they are in a way of the content they are interested in, they might even just answer randomly in order to get past this barrier. So, in order to get a valid information, some survey-makers have come up with a revolutionary idea of paying survey participants for their opinions. In other words, you can make some money by doing paid surveys.
4. Make money with your car
A thing you probably never thought about is the fact that your car has more than a few ways of making you more money. For instance, you could start working as a part-time Uber driver and in this way earn more than a few bucks. You could also rent out your car for the weekend, which on its own tends to be quite lucrative (although potentially hazardous). Finally, for all those who live downtown, there is a serious market for renting out your parking space and some people are willing to pay hefty sums for a good spot.
5. Rent, rent, rent
When it comes to renting, most people instantly think about renting a property they own, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. You see, some people don’t rent an entire home but a single room in their house. This is especially popular amongst foreign exchange students. Furthermore, some people have made cash by renting out their backyard to campers or even renting out their shed to neighbors. The options are virtually limitless.
6. Become a reviewer
Another thing you could do in your spare time is become a professional reviewer. You see, there are those who would pay you to do a review of a TV show and those who would do the same if you were to review a music record. Overall, same as in the survey part, your opinion on the matter might actually have a financial value and cashing in on it might be something you could try out. As a final note, you can even get $5 and a free pizza for giving your local pizza place a positive rating.
You would be surprised just how many people need the help of a proofreader. People compose documents they need someone to read before sending or even make indie video games with a script that needs to be checked for spelling and grammar errors. Needless to say, the list goes on and on and you could make quite the difference in your household budget this way.
The list goes on and for those willing to find a way to earn a few extra bucks, there are always more options to consider. Some honorable mentions are being a guide for tourists, testing websites and even selling your smartphone photos. All in all, it depends on your personal disposition, your free time and of course your own talents and inclinations.
