Bhopal/Jabalpur: MP high court said salaries of persons appointed under National Health Mission (NHM) can’t be reduced if their services are transferred to Rogi Kalyan Samitis (RKSs). They will continue to get salaries and perks as promised to them under NHM.

The bench of Justice Vivek Agrawal while deciding 4 petitions filed by 30 persons from Seoni and Damoh appointed on contract under NHM said that their salaries can’t be reduced if their services are transferred to RKSs. The petitioners said that they were appointed under NHM on contract but the projects run by NHM have now been transferred to Rogi Kalyan Samitis. The Rogi Kalyan Samitis outsource their jobs and employees hired from outsource companies get a lesser salary and as such their salaries have been reduced.

In the course of hearing, the court found that the petitioners were not demanding regularisation of service but only that a status quo on their salary was maintained. The court while allowing the petition said that they should be given the salary on which they were hired under NHM.
