Freeing up employees from monotonous tasks is critical to productivity, so it’s worth HR’s time to explore emerging solutions. By simplifying or removing some of employees’ most time-consuming tasks, such as searching for information, enterprise software allows employees to focus on the more important aspects of their jobs. HR also is expected to be able to take advantage of this shift, freeing it up to focus on more strategic initiatives.
Personalization in any form is welcomed, too. Technology enables people to communicate, share information and perform activities based on their needs and preferences. The more employers improve workers’ experience, the closer they’ll come to better engagement and retention.
TechRepublic isn’t the first (and won’t be the last) to predict the emergence of machine learning in the workplace. From virtual chatrooms to recruiting software, organizations will start to notice the impact of these tools on the day-to-day, if they haven’t already.
